TP in the RESPECT Index, a Ranking of Socially Responsible WSE-listed Companies - Orange Polska

The Warsaw Stock Exchange has launched a new index, WIG RESPECT. Telekomunikacja Polska (“TP”) is among sixteen companies that received the rating qualifying them to the new index.

“I am glad that TP’s initiatives in the field of corporate social responsibility have been recognised. The experts developing the ranking of companies took into account not only charity, but also environmental protection, labour issues, customer relations, supplier relations and corporate governance, so our satisfaction from this achievement is even greater,” said Tomasz Nowakowski, TP Group Executive Officer.

Only sixteen out of all WSE-listed companies received the rating that enabled them to be included in the composition of the new index. Just five of them, including Telekomunikacja Polska, are WIG20 companies. TP is the only telecom in WIG RESPECT.

TP was one of the first companies to inform about the launch of the RESPECT Index. A report and photographs documenting the event are available in our corporate blog, www.blog.tp.pl, which started yesterday. Soon, a documentary on the WIG RESPECT inauguration will be available there as well.

The new ranking will enable investors to assess not only the financial performance of a company, but also its impact on the natural and social environment.

The Index has been developed by the Warsaw Stock Exchange in cooperation with Forbes and Kulczyk Investments. The ranking process has been audited by Deloitte.
