The first results of the cooperation between the TP Group and the TVN Group - Orange Polska

The TP Group has introduced Telewizja na Kartę HD - a product of TVN Group - for sale in its showrooms. Anyone who decides to buy a TNK set in TP’s or Orange’s showrooms during December and January, will additionally receive up to two-months of free access to the full offer. Moreover in January ‘n’ television will start sales of mobile Internet access: Orange Free. These are the first results of a framework cooperation agreement signed by both companies in October this year.

“Start of sales of Telewizja na Kartę in TP and Orange showrooms and distribution of ‘Orange Free’ mobile internet by ‘n’ television are the first steps in realisation of our agreement with TVN Group. It is also an indication of our subsequent joint offers, which we are already working on. I am convinced that our cooperation will create a new quality on the pay-TV and internet market”- said Maciej Witucki, President of the TP Group. “We want our clients to have access to top content and cooperation with TVN Group, a reliable and experienced partner, will help us to implement our strategy. It is our clients, who are the biggest benefitiaries of this partnership, yet it is worth remembering that the partnership will also bring measurable benefits to our companies allowing us to rationally exploit our joint potential while at the same time optimising our costs,” he added.

“Today’s symbolic unveiling of television n logo in the first TP Orange showroom is real proof of developing cooperation between the TP and the TVN Groups. With this kick off, the promise to start the cooperation between TP and n, that Mr. Witucki gave on the last press conference is fully delivered and both partners are off a flying start.

N continues to be the most innovating pay tv platform in Poland, confirmed recently with the announced start of the first 3D service early next year, and therefore matches TP’s goal to bring the best solutions for innovative technology to its customers.

This year we expanded our range by 10 additional HD channels offering a total of 20 HD channels, the largest HD offer in Poland. I do believe that our joint offer will gain recognition and sympathy of our customers. This in turn will enable us to achieve our estimates of the five-year perspective on the TVN Group improving EBITDA by at least PLN 100 million”.- said Markus Tellenbach, President of the Board of TVN Group.

Telewizja na Kartę HD means access to a broad offer of thematic channels, including high definition ones, without the need of signing an agreement or paying a subscription fee. The service operates on a top-up basis, just as a prepaid mobile phone. Clients decide by themselves when to top up their account and which channels and for how long they want to watch.

The starter set, which is already available from more than 250 TP’s and Orange’s showrooms, includes an HD set top box with a PVR, an in-built tuner of terrestrial digital television DVB-T and a card enabling reception of a full programme offer, i.e. bundles of Domowa HD and Domowa HD Premium for three months from the activation date. At the beginning of their cooperation, companies have offered a promotion for those who will buy Telewizja na Kartę HD from TP’s and Orange’s showrooms. If they decide to buy the service still in December, they will receive two additional months of access to full offer free of charge. Those who decide to use the offer in January will receive one more month for free as a gift.

Moreover, starting from today, it will be possible to buy mobile access to Orange free internet at www.n.pl. The Orange offer gives an opportunity to connect with the network using any technology, thanks to which Orange Free users may benefit from the greatest coverage in Poland and fast mobile internet. 3G (UMTS, HSPA and HSDPA) technologies provide fast mobile internet, especially in urban areas whereas radio technology (CDMA), which is only available from Orange, gives access to internet with the speed of up to 1 MB/sec outside of urban areas, where internet provided by other operators is generally four times slower.

Additionally, thanks to cooperation between the TP and TVN Groups, clients using neostrada with television will have access to “TV on demand” featuring selected programmes broadcast on the channel TVN for seven days from the programme’s first emission and in the future also to programmes emitted by other channels of this broadcaster. They will find popular series there (for example “Majka”, “Usta Usta”, and also new series from the spring program line-up), entertainment shows, such as: "You can Dance", “Taniec z gwiazdami” (“Strictly come dancing") or "Mam talent" (“Got Talent”), or programmes addressed to motor car fans, such as: "Automaniak", "Zakup kontrolowany"; a news reporter magazine: "Superwizjer", reality show programmes and many others from TVN’s spring program line-up.

Moreover, video on demand by TP will gives clients a preview access to Polish series and feature films.
